We are a company that sell domestic rangehoods and there is currently no universal performance standard used in our market place. Consumers are at the mercy of unscrupulous manufacturers who take liberties with how their performance is measured and marketed - to make it seem like they're better or quieter, than what they actually are. We have developed a test simular to those used in Germany and Europe for example the DIN 61591 standard out from Germany, We test the airflow peformance of the rangehood up one metre above the outlet then through a 90 degree bend a further 300mm through the wall and vent. This measurement enables us to detremine how much grease, oils and smell have been sucessfully removed from the kitchen to the outside athmosphere,hence the Airflow at Athmosphere explaination. WE are searching for a suitable name for this sest.
